Ulrich Friedrich is a partner in BLUEROPE Consult GmbH. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry in the areas of project management, managed services, IT outsourcing services and enterprise application services. He built up his comprehensive IT project and process expertise in numerous customer projects in the automotive, retail and banking industries. For more than 20 years, he was responsible for the planning, implementation and operation of customer IT systems in management positions.
His consulting focus is on IT management and the successful design of change processes in the IT environment. His strength is the consistent implementation of business goals into efficient operational IT transformation projects. He creates the framework conditions in a targeted manner, makes necessary changes to the service catalog and IT development plan, develops new service elements, establishes efficient processes and aligns IT from application management to IT operations with the tailor-made sourcing model. Experienced in complex release and change management tasks, he manages changes successfully and confidently.
After studying engineering at the Gesamthochschule in Kassel, Ulrich Friedrich started his career as a process manager at Philips Elektronik for science and industry. In the debis system house, he played a decisive role in shaping the IT services for the customer Mercedes Benz in a leading function. He then held a management position at T-Systems, where he provided IT outsourcing services for automotive enterprise customers. At Wincor Nixdorf, he realigned IT operations for Banking and Retail customers by establishing globally responsible delivery hubs. Later, as CIO, he was responsible for the planning, deployment and operation of the global enterprise application stack at Diebold Nixdorf.
